We're Not Responsible!



     As a follow-up to a recent posting of mine on "CB Radio Resources on 
the 'Net", I have decided to put together a list of radio-related web sites
that are currently flying the disclaimer flag of "irresponsibility"!  The 
list will appear here shortly and will be continually updated!



     December 24, 1999........The list of sites sporting irresponsible
modifications is so long that I have decided to narrow it down to this one
statement........"While some circuit modifications involving frequency 
expansion and clarifier tracking are justified,  A complete tune up or 
alignment for maximum performance should absolutely NOT include the removal
of any parts from the radio nor should it include the addition of any parts
to the radio"!  "Anyone practicing this "chop shop modification" approach in 
their tune up procedure is robbing you of your hard earned money while 
simultaneously destroying the reliability and dependability that was 
engineered into your particuliar piece of equipment during the manufacturing
process"!  "The fact of the matter is, these modifications are unable to 
yield the slightest increase in performance when compared to the same radio
that has been properly aligned by a competent technician".  "If you bring
your radio in to a shop for a complete tune up and the technician indicates
to you that parts will be removed or added to accomplish this, YOU ARE IN 
THE WRONG SHOP"!
